Yummy. I used saltine crackers instead of the oats and liked it better. I also added ketchup for a more moist loaf. My kids even eat this and ask for seconds.

This is the best oatmeal cookie recipe I have ever had. I am not a good cookie baker but this recipe never failed me. I definitely think the nuts make this a perfect cookie, but it turns out great without too.

These are a great idea, especially now that it's fall. I did vary the recipie quite a bit to make it faster to prepare, so it wasn't very close to this recipie in the end, but the idea was great none the less. I used italian sausage for the meat, used pizza sauce instead of tomato sauce, and eliminated the spices and salt. I also used cheddar instead of american cheese. I also think that if sliced baguettes were used, instead of pita, it would be better.
