About this Cook
I am married with 4 Children. I have a 16 year old son, twin sons that are 11 and a little princess, she is will be 6 this month. I love to cook and I love to cook new things, and to experience all cultures and all foods. I love being a mom and a wife. I also work part time as a developmental specialist in a group home.
My favorite things to cook
I Love to cook anything and everything. I especially to cook and eat foods I have never had before, or recipes I have never had before. I just got my very first pressure cooker and am anxious to find some recipes for this. If you have any favorites I would love to try some~~smiles~~~
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have a cooking tradition. Well it is a family tradition I guess to drink a beer while cooking dinner, hehe, My mom and my grandma did... I did for a while until I had to keep check on my weight and start eating more healthy, I have noticed that with age comes wisdom and also comes with slower metabolism~~~smiles~~~
My cooking triumphs
I have always said when I see all six of us eating at the dinner table and all of us eating the same exact foods that is a triumph to me!!!
My cooking tragedies
Oh my goodness, I have to many to fit in this box, but I have always said that you have to have tragedies to have successes, Life is a HUGE blank canvas and it comes with an endless eraser to take away mistakes and replace with better~~~~

Kheer (Rice Pudding)
OH Yesssssss......... let me start with saying I have never had any type of rice pudding before. This is my very first experience with making and tasting rice pudding. W@W this was so good so creamy and geez so tasty. I am NOW a HUGE fan of rice pudding, I did follow recipe except for I added just about 1/4 cup more rice, a tad bit more of the cardamom, becuase I really love this spice, and topped my serving with toasted walnuts and toasted coconut flakes, this to me is super delicous:) Thank you so much for a great treat! Now my tummy is all warm inside;)

Egg Free Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies
Woooo Hoooo, This is great! I was craving cookies today and when I started the basic base recipe for cookies, I then noticed I had no eggs, ugh!! Then I looked for a cookie recipe that did not require eggs, and BAM~~ Here it is, and just let me say these are very yummy, I did like others, by adding some extra, ginger, allspice, cinnamon and fresh nutmeg, I also just used some county crock spread instead of shortning. I also used a sugar coated fork to gently press down on the cookies. (also I did two batches with chopped walnuts on top, mmmmm good) They came out so good, I can't wait for my kids to get home from school for this tasty snack. I will so make this again and again... ;)

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken
YUMMY! My family really enjoyed this dish. I did it just a bit different, I only had two chicken breats to stuff but added some tenders cooked the same way dipped in the flour and fried. I also added 2chicken boulion and 2 beef to the water and man, oh man it was so Excellent. Oh and I used feta cheese already seasoned with lemon, garlic and oregano.(new at the grocers) All I can say is it was the bomb! I served over rice ;o) Thanks for sharing...
