Pumpkin Turkey Chili
I loved the chili. I especially like that I can use frozen pureed pumpkin. The pureed pumpkin made the chili very thick which I really like. I left out the onions and peppers my husband is allergic to onions and doesn't like peppers. I then added an equal amount of corn instead. I also added 1tsp of cumin and 1/2 tsp of nutmeg. I don't know if canned pumpkin has salt added to it but since I do know the pumpkin I cut up and cooked down doesn't have any salt I chose to add salt to the chili. I didn't measure the pumpkin I used. I just cut up enough pumpkin to fill up the pot I was using and then cooked it down untill it was to the desired consistency. This way I just used one pot for the whole process. I also used leftover turkey instead of the ground turkey. Thank you for a wonderful recipe I will use many times.
