About this Cook
I'm married to a great guy and we have 2 children.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are main and side dishes, appetizers and desserts too! My husband loves to grill (he's quite the grill master!) and I enjoy making all the sides to go with it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family cooking traditions were with my mom as a child, which included helping her in the kitchen make cookies, cream puffs, her famous potato salad and Christmas Taco bake.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean blue-cheese stuffed grilled filet mignon!
My cooking tragedies
I was out of town on business and decided to leave that morning with a meal in the slow cooker to suprise my family when they came home. I made a simple sloppy joe recipe, but had turned up the cooker to HIGH, instead of low. It came out as black, burnt crusty sloppy joes, but they still ate it. (I wouldn't have gone near it!)

Focaccia Bread
Delicious! Skipped the mozzarella and just sprinkled fresh rosemary, parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil on top. Smelled great baking in the oven too. Next time I'm going to try some chopped sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella.

White Bean Chicken Chili
Won Most Creative Taste! I made this for our neighborhood chili cookoff and won! I replaced the tomatillos like the other reviewers did with the salsa verde and used 2 cans of Rotel with mild peppers. The lime at the end, as another review mentioned, is definitely key and gives it a little something extra.

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup
Fantastic soup. Used Uncle Ben's fast cook recipe (it was handy), 3 chicken breast shredded (we like a good amount of chicken) and plenty of pepper for a little kick. Definitely a keeper.
