Grilled Shrimp Scampi

I tried this recipe because I had bought ground turkey on a whim at the supermarket and I love meatloaf. But when I made this, neither I nor my family was very impressed. It was a little bland. If I ever make it again I will add something extra to it. Until then I will stick with beef.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

I'm giving this 5 stars on the faith that I know this sauce would be excellent because the meatballs in the recipe were the best I've ever had. I was looking for a good meatball recipe and came across this one. I would have made the sauce but I didn't have all the ingredients on hand that I needed (so I had to use jar sauce). But these meatballs were amazing. They were so flavorful and juicy. I had so much pasta and sauce left but not a single meatball. Next time I will have to double the meatballs for my family.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Great delicious recipe. I hate boxed au gratin potatoes but these were delicious. And easy. Followed recipe exactly except did not cook the full hour and half because of time constraints - I cut the cook time by 30 minutes and I took the foil off and broiled for a few minutes until top was lightly browned and they tasted great. Thanks for the recipe.

Soft Chocolate Cookies

DELICIOUS... moist, chewy, chocolately but not too chocolately. Great with a cold glass of milk. Followed recipe exactly, very easy, and they came out perfect. Thanks for sharing. I'm sure these will become a family favorite.

Roasted Vegetables

I think this was one of the best vegetable recipes I've ever tried. I used yellow squash instead of butternut because it's what I had on hand but other than that I followed the recipe exactly and it was great. I had way too many leftovers even after reheating them for lunch the next day so unless you're cooking for a crowd of people, use less veggies.

Apple Pie I

Not quite as good as the ones my mom made when I was growing up... a little too bland and too watery but easy to make and still good enough to eat. Add more flour and nutmeg or something to it.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Good and easy. Have tried with cream cheese and sour cream and both times it was delicious. Cream cheese makes the sauce thicker - just depends on personal taste.

Chicken and Mushroom Saute

Delicious.... I'm a new mushroom lover, after years of shunning mushrooms, I'm breaking out of my shell. This is the first recipe I've tried and it is wonderful. I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned and I cut the chicken into smaller pieces and added added a little more oil and butter. Other than that I followed everything exactly and it turned out wonderful.

Lemon Pepper Green Beans

Delicious! I've been looking for new ways to cook green beans and this is by far the best I've tried. Zesty and full of flavor! A little too spicy for kids I think so maybe reduce the lemon pepper a little and add fresh lemon juice but other than that I wouldn't make any changes.

Funeral Potatoes

This is a very good recipe. I make it fairly often. Only when I make it, I omit the water and the cream of mushroom soup, and I add about a cup of grated cheddar cheese in with the mixture. It makes it less soupy. I have used the cream of cheddar cheese soup too instead of the processed cheese and it turns out delicious. My family and I love it.

Cowboy Mashed Potatoes

I made this for my children and my husband even though I was on the South Beach Diet. Just to make sure I had the potatoes seasoned just right I had to taste them, and they were simply delicious. I left out the peppers for my kids sake but I know they would have only made them better. I only wish I could have had a whole serving. Very Good Recipe.
