I am a part time educational assistant working with second graders. I have been doing this job for nearly 10 years now and love it. My favorite things to cook/bake are easy recipes that can be put together in a snap. I love to grill outside. My favorite discovery is grilling turkey. I don't think I will ever bake a bird again! Any meal I cook and get rave reviews is a triumph! My husband and I were married only a short while and I was still learning the ropes in the kitchen. I decided to bake a ham. The ham was only a ham steak. When I called my mom to ask how long to bake the ham she said about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. I failed to tell her it was a ham steak. Needless to say after one hour the steak was quite over done, and I was quite embarrassed over the meal, but my husband ate it without complaint. It's been twenty five years since that mistake.....no more burnt ham.
