Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
These were really yummy! Next time I will decrease the sugar by just a tad, but otherwise they were delicious! Loved the spice, definitely a keeper!

Ham and Bean Soup
Great soup! Much better than the bland ham & bean everyone ususally serves, it has a nice zip to it! I made my own ham stock because my mother made ham for Christmas and was going to throw away the bone. My local store didn't have any decent brats so I used Kielbasa like some other reviewers and I grilled them beforehand. My husband can't do anything too spicy so I didn't use hot pepper sauce and I used the canned tomatoes with the chilies added, they aren't as spicy. Really yummy on a cold day!!

Best Toffee Ever - Super Easy
Wow....Fabulous! I followed the directions and I didn't have a candy thermometer, I went by color. I even tasted as I went along and did the ice water test and that worked fine. The only changes I made were adding a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and using pecans instead of almonds. It came out perfect, no separation. If you live in freezing temp area, just stick it outside, it'll be ready in about a half hour. After you break it apart, don't throw away the crumbs. Put it on top of ice cream or throw in a batch of cookie batter (I threw it in my chocolate chip cookie batter, yum!)
