This was great! Kind of like Beef Stroganoff but easier! We do Monday meatball madness and this was a nice change from always having spaghetti. I didn't have any of the Kitchen Bouquet so I used 1 tsp. of Worcester sauce and it was great. I also left out the GP's because my husband cant have them and just had more onion. I also leave out the extra salt sicne there is enough in the soup already. I add the baked meatballs to the ixture in my slow cooker and leave it in there on the lowest setting till we are ready to eat. We have had this twice now once serving it over egg noodles and the other over rice.

I made this with my 11 y/o and 2 y/o and it was so much fun to make with them. We had a piece for dessert and it is so moist and delicious! I used applesauce instead of shortening, and took everyone elses advice and added vanilla, nutmeg and cinnamon. BUT instead of putting in a pan I made it inmy 7-1/2" diameter bunt pan-cooked it for 40 mins and then checked with toothpick. I could have kept it out but I put it back in for 10 minutes more just in case and it came out YUMMY!
