Cabbage Rolls II
Me!
Better Than Sex Cake
About this Cook
I have always loved cooking. When I was 5 years old my grandma started letting me help her while she was cooking. She always cooked big batches of food since she had so many kids but it was fun helping her. By the time I was a teenager, she would leave me in the kitchen and I would make exactly what she taught me how to make! Now that I am living on my own and ready to start my family, I still make her recipes but I like trying new things also!
My favorite things to cook
I love to make tacos, enchiladas, goulash, soups, cakes, pies, cookies, various chicken creations, just about anything. Mexican food is my favorite.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year for Christmas my husbands side of the family has a dinner that is just like Thanksgiving. Complete with the turkey, ham, potatoes, sweet potatoes just everything and I love it:) I would eat it everyday if I could!!!
My cooking triumphs
Following recipes!!! I was taught to not use recipes by my grandmother so it is very hard for me to have to follow directions on how to make something but I am getting better at it every day!!
My cooking tragedies
I have forgotten that I put food in the oven once, forgot to add an ingredient which made it taste nasty. Making chocolate chip cookies once I added baking soda instead of baking powder. Needless to say, they tasted like the freezer smelled!!

Hamburger Vegetable Soup
This was awesome stuff! It was a bit on the salty side but other than that, it was amazing! I added a few more macaroni noodles and a small can of tomato juice for some extra juice. The longer you let it simmer, the better it tastes.. can't wait to eat it for leftovers tonight!

Taco Salad III
I have not personally made this specific recipe but I have made something that is very similar to it! I use Dorthy Lynch dressing instead of the Catalina dressing and it gives it AWESOME flavor. My husband LOVES it!!!! So if you are wanting something that isn't really sweet, try the other dressing you wont be mad you did!

Cabbage Rolls II
These were actually really good. I was kind of skeptical while in the process of making them. It was hard to roll with cabbage that I had on hand. I about 9 rolls made and still had quite a bit of filling left over so I put on top of the rolls in the crock pot. I also added 2 small (baby) cans of tomato juice and a regular size can of tomato sauce to the sauce mixture as they looked really dry before that. They turned out really good and I will plan on making these again. Husband loved them too:)
