My husband and I with our dog Scooter
About this Cook
Hi there! My name is Marsha. I am a mother to two boys of my own and two step children (boy and girl). My husband and I will be celebrating our 3yr anniversary on Valentines day this year(2005) We met off of a dateing site called Kiss. He lived on the west coast and I was from the east coast. Some other things about me are: I love cooking and searching for new recipes every chance I can get. I love to travel when I can. Creeks and waterfalls are one of my passions.I love hearing the water flow over rocks and hear the splashing of water falling from above (including rain on a tin roof) My favorite cooking channel is Food Network and the chefs I usually watch are Paula Dean,Emeril Live and Rachel Ray. Paula is my favorite, she is a southern cook as I concider myself as.
My favorite things to cook
I really dont have a favorite cause most anything is a challenge. Challenge meaning making sure you have the right taste and texture of the dish. I love to cook with spices. Spices are a comforting thing when I am fixing a new dish I am trying. If the recipe doesn't have enough spice in it, I am always adding what I feel it needs.

Apple Butter I
Great recipe! I love apple butter and have always made applesauce first than added my spices but I fellowed this recipe and it turned out wonderfully. I did let mine cook in the crockpot overnight and a whole day, just for the smell mainly. I was a bit nervous cause I thought it might be a bit to watery but after I processed it in my food processer it was perfect. It made 4pint jars. Thanks for a great recipe!
