About this Cook
Caterer. I would like to open up a small, high-end bistro or brasserie.
My favorite things to cook
Adapting conventional recipes/dishes to streamline for modern kitchen equipment. See my blog at http://thecookspot54.blogspot.com for the latest rice cooker adaptations, plus many crowd pleasers and standard catering fare.
My cooking tragedies
Fancy yeast breads sometimes are disasters given than my old house is rather drafty.

Butter Beef
Doctored with about 1/4 cup cabernet, some mushrooms, garlic and about 1 tbs gravy mix. OK, but this isn't a keeper.

Basic Mexican Guacamole
Quite good! I did cut the amount of cilantro in half since I only wanted a whisper of this herb in the dish; too much and it's spoiled for my taste.

Amish White Bread
Excellent. I converted it to make in a bread machine. Substituted olive oil for the vegetable oil. Bread is spectacular and a keeper. Inexpensive to make as well.
