I love love love this cake recipe! I make it for all three of my kids' birthdays and I usually sneak in whole wheat flour for part of the all purpose. I love that I can feed a crazy bunch of kids at a birthday party a homemade cake that they go nuts for. I use organic ingredients, the cream cheese frosting II from this site, and an overload of sprinkles! Thanks for sharing and bringing a new tradition of cakes to our family...

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

This chicken WAS good, but I'm not convinced that it was any better than other roast chickens I've tried. It made the house smell wonderful for so long that it might be worth it, if you are home on a rainy day. The meat was really moist and fell right off the bone. The bones and made a great stock. I will most likely make this again.

Soft Whole Wheat Sugar Cookies

My kids love these cookies. I really like how they stayed soft. I refrigerated the dough and used a car cookie cutter to make shaped cookies. It's great to find a healthier alternative!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

My kids love these muffins. I double the recipe, but not the crumble topping, OR THE SUGAR in the batter. They are still plenty sweet. I also substituted apple sauce for the oil and whole wheat flour for part of the regular flour. I added some wheat germ in place of some of the flour in the crumble topping. You would never know it was there! Love them!

Blueberry Walnut Bread

This recipe DID make a great tasting bread, but it didn't work at all in my bread machine. The paddle just smashed the blueberries and we had a yummy bright blue treat. I'm new to the bread machine game, so it could have been user error. I ended up baking it in the oven and I will make it again. I also substitued 1 cup whole wheat flour for part of white flour and I added some wheat germ. It was still light and tasty.
