About this Cook
I entered a national bake cook off but did not get in..but the best thing happen after I entered. I tried my test recipe on people that my husband works with and they helped me tweek my recipe. Then one of our friends-the husband made the recipe for his family. He said they loved it but he told me that it was not mine-and mine was better.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook and I will cook just about anything. I love make desserts but I also love stews, soups, casseroles, slow cooking, --see just about everything. I will sometimes make things I may not like to eat but the pleasure of seeing other people enjoy it makes me happy.
My cooking tragedies
Well I made the most beautiful red velvet cake when I was about 25yrs old..and it was a cake that took me hours to make. Well, when me and my husband were walking out the door with it the cake holder came apart and my red velvet cake fell on the floor "cake first". I was heart broken and my husband just looked at me and did not laugh (I know he wanted to).

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili
This is a wonderful recipe. I have made it for my hubby several times...he wants me to make it for his lodge but it is pretty spicy and I am not sure his lodge brothers can handle it.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings
I loved this recipe-easy,quick and good tasting. I did add matchstick carrots and used dried minced onions, also used reduced sodium chicken broth. My husband loved it and asked me to make for his lodge brothers.I will be making this again and agin.

Burrito Pie
This is a great recipe. I did not think it was so hot(as in spicy)-I live in Louisiana and I and my husband are used to much hotter but my husband could not stop telling me how good it was. He took it to work for lunch and when he heated it in the microwave everyone asked him what that wonderful smell was. His work is used to me cooking some good meals -they raise money for their extra activities and they have cook offs.I will be making this again.
