I have a wonderful husband and a great, brand-new son. I love my family above all else and, though it's really tough to find time to do so, I like to make them happy by cooking. My favorite things to cook are desserts, cakes, cookies, anything that is put in an oven, is sweet, and people will love you for. My cooking tradition includes more eating than it does cooking. My family all lives close to one another and, every sunday, we all get together at my grandmother's and eat... a lot! Mostly fried food, everyone brings something and everyone gets full and chatty and happy. Cookies. I experiment a lot and often forget what I did. When I bring cookies to a get-together, everyone is always tentative to eat my cookies because they know that I seldom use recipes. But, once they try them, they're gone in, literally, minutes! This is lame, but I really get mad when my eggs "over-easy" don't turn out as easily as I thought. I've been known to throw some temper tantrums over this.
