About this Cook
I'm a weightwatchers lifetimer. I like to adapt recipes to suit my preferences and still keep them tasty so the rest of the family enjoys them.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try anything with grains, vegetables, pasta. Lots of seasonings, savoury flavours. And if I can cook it on the barbecue, even better!
My favorite family cooking traditions
None. My mother hated cooking and therefore wasn't creative at all. I have no idea how I got the cooking gene.
My cooking triumphs
Baked sweet potato fries. We've been eating these for years and now they're trendy!
My cooking tragedies
I tend to undercook things so they don't dry out. That's fine with veggies, but chicken, not so much. Let's just say there were lots of people at the table eating vegs, salads and bread. No chicken though.

Spinach Brownies
Tasty and simple. I will leave the baby spinach whole next time to make them more green.

Easy Pumpkin Muffins
Nice, easy recipe. Will be good with nuts added next time. They took a bit longer to bake for me, I think it's because the batter is so dense.

Gobi Aloo (Indian Style Cauliflower with Potatoes)
Nice flavour, not too hot made with these measurements. It really is better with tomatoes added to simmer.
