Quiche (Southern Egg Pie)
I make a vegetarian/lower calorie version of this and LOVE it.
I use:
margarine instead of butter
4 cubed boca breakfast patties instead of pork sausage
pepper corn ranch instead of ranch and added black pepper
4 oz or less of cheddar cheese
about a cup of chopped up fresh broccoli florets
and a regular instead of deep-dish pie crust
i also cover it with tin foil for the entire time, and bake it at 350 the whole time. i've only ever burnt it the other way, but it's probably partly my oven.
