Simple White Cake

The cake has amazing flavour but it clearly states that one recipe bakes either 12 cupcakes or 1 9x9... when in fact it bake 2!!! It is the first time in 25 years I ruin a cake. It rose very high, too quicly and half of it fell at the bottom of my oven. This correction should be made: the cake makes 2 - 9x9

Lemon Ice-Box Cake I

I truly don't want to be a party pooper but I do have questions about this. First I'm not sure how we should have eaten it, with our fingers or with a fork... as it was really frozen hard to cut with a fork. Second, the taste was great although being so cold, it tended to lose a lot of taste... just like when something is too hot it taste less, same thing when it is freezing cold. BUT I'm really not discarting the recipe, I simply think that it would gain in being served perhaps 15 minutes after being taken out of the freezer... which, if the case, should have been noted in the recipe.

Happy Birthday Cake

True it was heavy and pretty dry, but it was also tasty and served very well the purpose I needed it for. I wouldn't use this recipe for just any occasion, but in need of a cake sturdy enough to support heavy fillings and decorations: jelly layers, buttercream icing, marzipan cover and decorations, etc... it was great.

Oma's Cottage Cheesecake
