I enjoy baking desserts and sharing them with my co-workers. This allows me to indulge without over-indulging. I also create my own dishes, and when I find something I like I will try to recreate it at home. I broil fish and meats. I try to keep things simple, basic and most importantly, tasty. I really like cooking in the crock pot. My favorite meal is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday also. It is the only holiday that has not been commercialized, a day to get together with family and friends - the truly important things. One of my best desserts is an apple walnut cake, an original recipe created by my wife. I was baking a chocolate cake with chocolate chips and while using a new pan which was bigger than I was used to, the cake fell, leaving a major depression in the center of the cake. I scooped out the under-baked center, frosted the cake with a mocha buttercream frosting, and filled the center with raspberries and whipped cream. Everyone loved it.
