Always A Winner Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
Pretty good but next time I would cut back on the cumin. I also felt that there were too many unnecessary complex flavors when it could've been just as good with only half the spices. Still, pretty good!

Amazing Southwest Cilantro Lime Mango Grilled Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2008
GREAT...but long as most all other reviewers state! This is how I cut back on time slightly: Marinated chicken as stated but added 1/4 olive oil and a dash of cayenne as I didn't have any jalapeno peppers on hand. Cooked in frying pan with red peppers and onions (too lazy to grill) and topped with the lime mayo and fresh salsa (yum) on a tortilla. I nixed the mango...didn't have but would like to maybe try next time and also on the french bread. Yummy!

Chicken and Broccoli Stroganoff over Whole Wheat Pasta

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2008
Yummy! Instead of microwaving the broccoli I just added it to the pan after I added the chicken broth which I used instead of wine. Another way to cut the fat in this is use half sour cream and half plain yogurt. You'll find that most people can't even tell the difference. Will make again!

Grilled Garlic and Herb Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2008
These are soooo good!!! I followed the recipe exactly as specified and marinated them for a few hours in the shell then peeled them before pan frying in some of the marinade. They were a huge hit although next time I would only use 1 tsp of basil. EXCELLENT and a nice change!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
I find it strange that I am going against over 1200 people's opinions but this was quite possibly the worst lasagna I have ever had! It was dry, had a funny taste and was truly a waste of time and ingredients. No one out of my family of six liked this in the least! I guess though that when u have a lasagna recipe that you've grown up with as I do, then different ones just don't compare.

Orange Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2008
A a gal that's 20lbs overweight, I think I know a thing or two about cookies!Tastewise they were yummy but I personally had a few problems with them. First, as most people before me already knew, 16 minutes is way too long. I always bake most cookies at 9 minutes and they come out nice and soft. As well next time I'll be using baking soda instead of powder as that will also make them be a little softer. Also, 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips AND the cup of nuts seems to overload it a little...try 1 cup of the chips and 3/4 cup of nuts. I also added an extra half cup of flour as the dough was pretty sticky. This is all personal preference though so if you like your cookies a little harder and full of chocolate chips and nuts then by all means, follow the recipe! All said and done...good taste but needed some tweaking.

Egg Drop Soup II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Very simple and yummy. Make sure you use a good brand name chicken both though, I used no name and it wasn't as good as I'm sure a better quality would've been. Also, I added a touch of sesame oil and some ground ginger to the broth...so good and so easy!

Herb Spread for French Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2008
Extremely delish! I would definitely use fresh herbs as I'm sure something would be lost using dried. They are easy to get even in the winter at your local grocery store and what you don't use you can just freeze by washing, patting dry then spreading on a cookie sheet then place in the feezer. Once frozen store in a ziploc baggie or an airtight container and use whenever you need fresh herbs!

Brandy-Soaked Scallops

Yum! Yum! Yum! These were sooooo good! I made these as an appetizer for our Valentine's dinner and I did wrap them but used regular pork bacon. I too panfried them as I'm not very good when it comes to broiling!! I also turned them over about halfway through the marinating process. My husband said they were company worthy!

Real Italian Calzones

This crust was to DIE for!! I don't know what makes it so yummy but it was perfect! As for the filling, I was sketchy not using sauce since we are a sauce-loving family, but it was perfect! I offered warmed pasta sauce as a side.
