Asian Coconut Rice

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

I left out the dried fruit, so that may have changed the result, but I thought that this tasted similiar to the simple, 2 ingredient cranberry sauce that I make every year. It was quite a bit of extra work and just didn't seem worth the effort to me. Maybe the dried fruit really makes the difference? It was good cranberry sauce, just nothing special.

Antipasto Squares

I made this for my Christmas party and got RAVE reviews! The guys were fighting for the last square :) I always change recipes, so I used these meats/cheeses instead: hard salami, provolone, ham and fresh mozzarella. I also don't care for roasted peppers, so I put a bottle of italian antipasto veggies in the food processor with some olive tapenade and made a chunky spread for the top layer- everyone loved the flavor of this! Thanks for the recipe, I will certainly be making this again!

Allison's Cold Crab Dip

I just didn't like this for some reason. I added some extra ingredients to spice it up, maybe that ruined the recipe? I actually made this for my Christmas party and ended up not even serving it. Thanks anyway!

Mexican Shrimp Cocktail

This was wonderful! I changed the recipe a bit, as I couldn't find the clamato juice. I chopped fresh tomatoes as well, which gave it more of a salsa consistency. Everyone loved this at my Christmas party & I will be making it again for Christmas Eve! Thanks for sharing!

Gourmet Mushroom Risotto

This is a wonderful recipe..totally worth the extra effort! I have used gourmet mushroom soup (not canned cream of mushroom-but a dark, creamy broth) to sub for some of the chicken broth and it came out great!

Fried Dill Pickles

I had fried pickles during a trip to New Orleans and I fell in love with them! This recipe was exactly as I remembered. My husband finally understands why I was always raving about fried pickles, he loves them too now!

Puttanesca I

This is a wonderful puttenesca...and so easy! I've made it many times already. I rarely use measurements, but I know that I add more olives & capers than the recipe calls for. I also omit the tomato paste and usually use some diced and some crushed cans. For a delicious variation, use this sauce to make a baked ziti...it's awesome!

Spinach and Rice (Spanakorizo)

This was awesome! I will definitely be making this again as an alternative to typical side dishes. Just a hint, I doubled the recipe, but if you are doing this, do not double the amount of oil as it made my dish a bit greasy. That was just my own fault though...the recipe is wonderful!

Irish Chicken and Dumplings

I am sure that I am just repeating what everyone else has said, but this is amazing! It's a perfect meal for a cold night and everyone that I've made it for has raved. I always make extra biscuits when I heat up the leftovers.
