About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom of 2 girls. I call my cooking a work in progress. I'm lucky that my kids and husband are adventurous eaters. They will try anything I make (almost;)).
My favorite things to cook
Lots of vegetables, quinoa and black beans, chicken, pasta. I love to bake. I just wish it wasn't so bad for you.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My favorite family tradition is our Italian Christmas eve dinner. Pasta with fresh made sauce, shrimp and scallops, garlic bread and salad. Also, my mom taught us to always have a salad with dinner. Great way to get your veggies.
My cooking triumphs
I made an herbed pork roast that my family always asks for. I didn't even use a recipe. I also make a mean vegetable soup.
My cooking tragedies
I made chicken, broccoli and rice in the slow cooker. I don't know what I did wrong, but the broccoli was overdone and the rice was still crunchy. Even I wouldn't eat it.

J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits
I have already made these 4 times. The perfect way to start the day is with one of these biscuits with butter and raspberry preserves. When you eat them you smile.

Easy Lemon Cookies
Good basic lemon cookie. Didn't "wow" me. Very easy. Nice for kids to cook.

Cranberry Orange Bread
This is THE best bread I have ever made. My family has requested this bread 4 times since Thanksgiving (and they are not big sweet bread eaters).
