About this Cook
I was given my first mixer at 16 and the beaters finally broke about 20 years later. But I found out that I can get replacement beaters online. I enjoy cooking and baking but baking is my passion. I don't eat every thing I cook because I usually cook things that I know other people like. I will be finished taking Catering for Gourment Cooking Classes and Cake Decorating Classes in May 2006. I enjoy eating chocolate, nuts, and bread.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy experimenting with the usual cookies such as Sugar, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip and Oatmeal Cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like to cook something other than turkey for Thanksgiving and serving my whole cranberry sauce made with crushed pinapples and orange juice and Fruity Iced Tea.
My cooking triumphs
I baked 100 The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies(from this site)for my Pastor's Banquet April 2006. I iced them yellow(pineapple flavor), white(vanilla almond flavor), pink (strawberry flavor)and orange (orange flavor). Next time I will get someone help me.
My cooking tragedies
For me this should be titled kitchen tragedies rather than cooking tragedies. In 2002 my clothes caught on fire because I incorrectly lighted the chafing fuel burners while I was helping in my church's kitchen. I didn't get major burns but I was in shock for a few days. I am blessed that I didn't have to go to the hospital.

Cookie Balls
I had my 9yr old litte cook help me with this on Sunday 10/19. I gave her the recipe and ingredients but the white chocolate was microwaved too long. So I went to her house to try to solve the problem and read the almond bark pkg. and found out I needed shortening. I took everything home and finished it by melting white chocolate and about tbsp shortening and coated them by using two teaspoons stead of a fork and sprinkled them. They are good.

Fluffy Two Step Cheesecake I
I made my own crust, use 2 8oz cream cheese, added flavoring. Mixed 1 mashed banana to the cream cheese and sugar. It was enjoyed.

Pizza Salad II
I used the suggestion of adding pasta sauce to the dressing, used turkey pepperoni cut in fours and added spinach for more color. I left out olives and mushrooms. I tried it heated up too. Enjoyed
