Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese
Good Mac and Cheese. I added 2 crowns of broccoli to the pasta for the last 5 minutes of cook time and little smokies sausages to the top.

Basic Beef Stock
Very rich, flavorful stock. I made a double batch and used some to make chicken and rice b/c I was out of onion soup mix and the rice tasted so much better with the stock.

All Day Apple Butter
I used this recipe only for the cooking method. I cooked the apple mixture on the stove until the apples were soft and then put it in the crock pot and cooked it on high uncovered for about 8 hrs until thick and dark brown. Cooking the applebutter down in the crockpot takes more total time but much less active time and makes much less mess. It doesn't splatter all over the stove and you don't have to stir it constantly to prevent burning. Thanks for the idea Terri!!
