Grilled Stuffed Swordfish

This was fantastic! The only thing I changed was to mix honey in with the greens instead of lemon juice - that added a nice little sweet taste. I used the marinade on some chicken breasts as well since not everyone will eat seafood and that turned out pretty tasty too!

Strawberry Pie II

I mashed up half the strawberries and put all of the ingredients in a pot. I just cooked it all together for about 10 minutes and poured it into a pie shell and it set quite nicely. I've made it a few times now. It's a hit at this house!

Chicken Pot Pie VIII

This was fantastic! I read some reviews and took the advice to cook the potatoes in the broth beforehand. The potatoes were completely cooked after baking. And since I was using a frozen pie crust I made drop biscuits and just dolloped that on top for a crust. This recipe made two 9" pies!

Sweet Honey French Bread

I did the dough cycle in my bread machine and then baked this in the oven. It was excellent! I drizzled honey on the top before baking and it made it nice and sweet. The two of us ate the whole loaf in a day and a half!

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

Amazing! I didn't add the walnuts because I'm not a big fan of nuts in cake, but everything else was added. It was delicious! I topped it with the cream cheese II recipe that is on this site and it was perfect. Everyone was impressed!

I loved this! The flavors were delicate and it went well with rice. You definitely have to be careful what else you serve so you don't overpower the flavor of this dish.

Trifle

I didn't have a dish nearly large enough to hold all of this. I ended up only using one package of strawberry jello. It looked like a dessert my grandma would have served and I was skeptical, but it was pretty good! My friends LOVED it so I might make it again.

Simple Maple Syrup

Following some other suggestions, I changed some things in this recipe. I used 1 c. white sugar and 3/4 c. brown sugar and boiled for about five minutes. I think next time I'll cook it longer to make it more syrupy. After I took it off the heat, I added vanilla extract and 1/4 c. honey. It really tastes good and, surprisingly, DH really likes it! It's not store-bought syrup, but it is good. Very nice if you are trying to avoid corn syrup!

Chinese Style Sesame Sauce

I tweaked this quite a bit. I only used 1/4 cup of sugar and about 1/8 cup corn starch. It was perfect this way! Much better than the orange syrup you get at the restaurant.

French Toast Casserole

This was pretty tasty! I added cream cheese throughout the dish to give it a creamy taste. I sprinkled brown sugar on top and served it that way. This is a nice use for some extra bread!

I used half ketchup and half barbecue sauce and it turned out delicious! DH ate almost a whole pound of beef in one sitting with this one. I'll make it again, but sparingly.

Best Spanish Rice

I always used Rice-a-Roni's Spanish rice in the past, but I am trying to cut down on the salt in our diet so I looked up how to make it myself. This is so simple and so delicious, I don't know why I never did it before now! I will be using this recipe often.

Cornbread I

This is what I was looking for! I've been trying to find a cornbread recipe that I like, but most of them just taste like yellow cake with some corn added. This is perfect. It's not sweet, it's dense and moist and delicious with chili.
