I just moved back to Chicago and back into an omnivore diet! I like spicy food. I like slow-cooked anything. I love baking. I really enjoy stuffed vegetables (and they're so easy to make!). We would always make Holiday fare together -- one thing I deeply miss from home: Preparing meals as a family. And those summer cookouts were always a favorite, also! Grandpa's potato salad and grandma's fudge are some kickers. Everything that satisfies is a rewarding triumph! Last year, I made dinner for some friends and got a little carried away with the spices I added to the meal I was preparing. One of the people couldn't eat spicy foods and all they ended up with on their plate was a little bit of pasta and some nuts we had roasted earlier - I felt so terrible! The meal turned out to be delicious, but probably too spicy for total flavor enjoyment.
