Anything with tomato sauce! My mom and I used to make a huge pasta salad for any summer family get-together. We would start it the night before, letting the pasta cook while we sat at the table, slicing the vegetables and chatting. Then we'd add the dressing and seasoning and let it sit overnight. Another douse of dressing in the morning, and it was ready to go. The day I made my own tomato sauce. My landlord gave me a basket of tomatoes from the garden, and I made a very basic tomato sauce. Even though my husband didn't like it (he thought it was too sweet), I LOVED it! My newest cooking triumphs include chicken parmigiana (I've never cooked chicken, so this was a big deal for me), manicotti and meatballs.
