Brady and Dad
About this Cook
It is actually Brady's Dad, But his mom made the profile. I enjoy cooking as it takes my mind off my busy work schedule and I love the reaction when people taste something amazing.
My favorite things to cook
Seafood, chicken, eggs, fish, beef...Plus playing with pasta.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Boxing Day Seafood feast...it has to be.
My cooking triumphs
Happily there have been more triumphs then tragedies. The latest was cooking for a rehersal dinner for 40 people at my Sister in Law's wedding. With an extensive menu of Salmon, shrimp, chicken & beef, 3 salads and 2 side dishes it was a busy but rewarding occasion. The greatest challenge of the event was the fact that our stove had broken down, and all the food was prepared on BBQs and side burners.
My cooking tragedies
Not too many tragedies, but the one that stands out was when I was smoking a nice pork loin on the BBQ and I forgot to lower the heat. With 2 other couples coming for dinner, plans changes quickly as I notice our nice, juicy, wonderfully marinated pork loin was a boulder of charcol an hour before our company was arriving.

Broccoli Salad V
This turned out very well. I had eaten a similar salad at a family member's previously and wanted to make it myself. This recipe was as close as I could find, but it turned out even better. I made it for 40 people, with alot of other food, so most of my measurements were more by sight and taste, but with these ingrediants it turned out perfectly. This was the only item that had no leftovers at the 40 person event.

Red Pepper-Salmon Pasta
This turned out amazingly well. I used fresh red peppers that I grilled first, and grilled the salmon as well. The sauce had a nice zip to it, and a freshness that I do not normally find with other pasta sauces I have made.
