My cooking tragedies
I started cooking very young, I was making cupcakes and got baking soda confused with baking powder, yuck! But my brother eat them all!

Biscotti
Made this for a bunko group. It was a hit. I wasnt sure if everyone would like anise, so used vanilla and added cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and coriander as another reviewer suggested, also used a very good olive oil and whole wheat pastry flour. Was very good and easy to make. I am excited to try it with the anise flavor!!

Chicken Manicotti Alfredo
I made this dish for Christmas dinner along with other Italian dishes. I had never made Alfredo sauce before, and was a little nervous about making it. This was a simple recipe to make, I was surprised how easy the sauce was to make. I stuffed the shells the night before, made the sauce Christmas morning, and baked as directed. I not a big fan of Alfredo, but my kids are, and they loved it. Only changes I made was to add garlic to the butter (at my son's request) when I prepared the sauce, and I used dried herbs instead of fresh. The manicotti were not dry, and very flavorful. I don't think I will ever buy the jar stuff again.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti
These were wonderful! I had never made Biscotti before, but will be making it again. I did not have any pistachio so I used almonds, and used fried cherries instead of cranberries. They didn't last long. I am going to try them with a lot of different nut and fruit combinations. These were not dry and hard like the store bought kind. Thank you for the excellent receipe.
