About this Cook
I am a homeschool mom of 2 that loves to cook while sharing the passion with my kids. I love to try different dishes and love it when my family and friends rave about my cooking. It makes me smile inside. :-)
My favorite things to cook
Since i live in Alaska, fish is usually served 4 out of 5 nights per week. I love trying different things with salmon and halibut.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Southern cornbread dressing and deep fried turkey with a chocolate pie.
My cooking triumphs
Cocunut battered halibut with a cucumber dill sauce... Yummo!
My cooking tragedies
My first chili. After much correction, it went to the garbage.

Cajun Catfish Supreme
This is, by far, the best thing I have ever made! In the 10 years that I have been cooking for my family... I shocked my husband! Of course, with a few adjustments. Being in Alaska, I used halibut instead of catfish. In step 3, I added a small can of mushrooms-undrained (instead of fresh), sweet onion instead of green, 1 can cream of celery soup and 1/2 cup sour cream (instead of the crm of shrimp). And finally, served over fettucine noodles. Yummo! We usually pay $20 a plate for this at our local resturant! Never again!!!

Margaret's Southern Chocolate Pie
This is how a good ole chocolate pie should taste like. Nice and thick, so when it's cut it won't run. The flavor was awesome and it was so simple to make. Yummo!!
