This was FANTASTIC!!! I used less chili powder and not all the tomatoes to suit our taste and I could not get enough. I loved the chili beans in it, used the mild variety. I used frozen corn and only 1-2 bouillon cubes. I was trying to cut the sodium some. It's sad, I won't be able to buy canned soup anymore after making so many soup recipes from allrecipies! There's nothing like home made soup!

This is a fantastic recipe. I do use a lot less butter and it still tastes great. I never even cared for asparagus until I tried this recipe a few years ago! The flavors work well together.
