About this Cook
I'm a 35 year old single mom.I love to cook and bake.
My favorite things to cook
I really like to try new recipes. My specialty is cheesecake. Made one for a charity event about 8 years ago and I get orders for them all the time now! Desserts are my favorite to make because you can make them so beautiful! I do a lot of crockpot cooking too. I just love to cook!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Got a few great dessert recipes from my great grandmother that I still use and people still love.
My cooking triumphs
Homemade sourdough bread, anything homemade! Homemade is just amazing to some people. When you bring something made from scratch, people are just amazed at the end product. Most of the time, it's not more effort, it's just the feeling you get that your recipe was great and enjoyed by everyone.
My cooking tragedies
When I first started coooking, I'd burn a lot of things because I'd try to multi-task. So now, I just put a timer on and multi-task:)

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
This is a wonderful recipe! It is a wonderful muffin recipe to use with many different fruits. The only change I made was to use brown sugar in the topping. These muffins were HUGE and so very awesome! I will use over again and again. These are bakery quality muffins. Next time I will double the recipe!

Fruited Ice Cream
Yum, Yum, Yum! This was such an easy recipe! I halfed the recipe due to that it really made a lot-now I wished I'd made the entire amount and put it in the freezer for summer! The only thing I did different in this recipe is took the advice of others: I wanted creamy strawberry and not chuncks in the ice cream, so I put my strawberries in a pot over low heat, added a few tablespoons of sugar and smashed the strawberries with a fork, this made them more pureed and that is what I wanted in my ice cream. It worked great! It was so creamy-thanks for a great recipe that I will for sure make again this summer!

Banana Crumb Muffins
These muffins are wonderful! They are really big muffins and my batter made 12 of them. My mom, dad, son and boyfriend all said they were the perfect muffin. Added cinnamon to the recipe, otherwise made as directed-WONDERFUL! Thank you for a great recipe. I will make it into loaves at Christmas time for gifts!
