About this Cook
I have two little boys, four dogs and one horse. I love to cook, fish and spend time with my family.
My favorite things to cook
I like to cook all things, but my favorite is to learn to cook something I've never cooked before. Lasagna is one of my all time specialties.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family has our own potatoe salad recipe that has never been beat. I think my father just made it up one day. These days we also add bacon, but that is the only change.
My cooking triumphs
Beer can chicken and grilled ribs, perfectly done the first time I ever tried it.
My cooking tragedies
Probably the worst I've ever done is drying out a roast or using too much garlic and company didn't like it.

Fry Bread Tacos II
I am truly sorry, but the fry bread was not very good at all in my opinion. Nothing like fry bread I have had at fairs and so on. It was dry and not fluffy or crispy. Seemed like a fried biscuit. Just totally not what I was looking for.

Beer-Batter Onion Rings
GREAT!! Works wonderfully with mushrooms as well. Probably would work with anything you wanted to batter. I made myself a little short cut and it was still the best batter I have used. I skipped the step of rolling the onions in the plain flour, went straight to the batter and it was THE BEST!!

Sweet Pea and Dill Salad
I liked it OK, but it was a little much on the dill. I added some small chunks of sharp cheddar cheese and liked it better that way.
