Colombian Chicken Stew (Ajiaco)

I totally agree with the previous reviewer. All the ingredients that she is mentioning are a must in an Ajiaco. For Crema you can also use thick cream and the capers are optional, always served on a side for those that do not like them. You do not need to mash the potatoes since this soup needs to simmer for a long time to let some of the potatoes to melt and there is need for 3 kinds of potatoes: Yellow, Red and Criolla, this last one and guascas can be found at latin stores (frozen criolla potatoes and dried guascas)

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

This was the firts time I ever tried making Cheesecake, I knew it was an art to make it and I followed some of the tips provided by other reviewers, although mine cracked a little bit(because I forgot not to beat after you add the eggss)it was a hit, I made it for a reunion were 25 friends of my friends were and I was invited to meet them. I had no left overs and they were all asking me for the recipe. I am sure I'll make this again and I'll try to remember not to beat when adding the eggs.

Szechwan Shrimp

This recipe is amazing, I didn't read the reviews before making it and it turned out just perfect and full of flavor. I went for this recipe because I wanted to use some shrimp and I had all the ingredients handy. The only but is the sauce, next time I will be doubling the ingredients for more sauce.

Tasty Spaghetti Sauce

I learned this recipe long ago from my Best friend's mother who is Italian, it has exactly the same ingredients but as many of reviewers mentioned, my original recipe uses 1/3 of the spices. I have to add that this is one of my husband's favorites.

Bechamel Sauce

Excellent recipe, I also followed the advise from another user to use one more teaspoon of skim milk since that's what I had and it turned out perfect. I used the Bechamel to make my Tuna Crepes and it was a success.

Broccoli Cheese Soup III

I like the recipe although I think I put to much broth because it didn't thicken, I added a little salt and freshly ground pepper, I also like how easy is to make it. I'll make it again reducing the amount of liquid.

Slow Cooker Pumpkin Soup

I found the soup a little bland, maybe if I spice it up with some ginger and cayenne pepper... or add some brown sugar and nutmeg... it is a good base, but it needs something else. In any case, thank you for sharing.

I agree this is a very easy recipe. I read other reviews before making it and added some sheredded Mozzarella, but it still had a little floury flavor, next time I will make the roux as someone else suggested.

Marinated Turkey Breast

I've made this recipe a couple of times it became a staple since last year's Thanksgiving, since my family is only a family of two I don't want to make a whole turkey, I made in in the regular oven, first put it to broil for 10 minutes each side and after let it cook for 45 minutes at 400 degrees, it turned out juicy and flavorful.

Shredded Beef for Tacos

I have to agree with other reviewers, this is Fantastic. Each time I try a new recipe I follow the instructions and ingredients. This turned out really good. I just had a problem with the meat, but I think it was just "my" piece of meat, it didn't want to get tender, it cooked for 8 hours (defrosted) in the slow cooker, after this I was getting somewhat upset and cranked it to high for another 3 hours, and finally it was ready. I also agree with some one that suggested to add some cumin (that's just because I like it), I'll do that next time. Plus I now have left overs for at least 3 or 4 more meals. Thank you for this recipe it couldn't be easier to make.

BLT Pizza

We are really fond of BLT and Pizza, we liked the pizza, we made it as it says with the only difference that we added more tomatoes, however we think it has room for improvement. Next time will make it adding some garlic to the mayo or to the olive oil.

Spinach Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette
