Pumpkin Cookies VII

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
Great recipe...cookies had wonderful texture and flavor. Only thing I changed was to add 1 1/2 tspns of cinnamon AND 1 tspn of pumpkin pie spice. Also made homemade cream cheese frosting and ended up baking for a little over 15 minutes.

Oven-Barbecued Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2009
This sauce was great! Just the right combo of sweet/tangy and complimented the meat really well. The only substantial change I made was to throw in some diced onions before baking (and I may have added a tad more brown sugar). I also covered with foil for the first half, then flipped the chops and left uncovered for the second half. They came out moist and wonderful. And it was VERY easy. Definitely a keeper!

Buttermilk Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Made these this morning and they were great! As with some other reviewers, I ended up adding an extra 1/2 cup or so of flour to get the dough the right consistency, and I also added about a 1/2 cup of sugar to the dough just because. Also, instead of combining the butter/br. sugar/cinnamon, I spread melted butter on the rolled dough and sprinkled the other two on top. I added about a tsp. more cinnamon, but next time would probably add even more. I topped them off with a cream cheese frosting/glaze and only had to bake them about 18 minutes. Sooo good!!

Grandma's Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2009
This banana bread is fantastic! Super moist and great flavor. I've added cinnamon, which tasted great too! I bake as muffins (for 20-23 minutes) and/or in loaf pans. This one's a keeper!!

Excellent and easy twice baked potatoe recipe! Only thing I changed was not using american cheese on top; I just added more cheddar instead.

Pumpkin Pie Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2008
Made this tonight on a whim and so glad I did! I halved the recipe (adding a little more than half of the pumpkin & spice) and made into muffins (made 18) - baked for about 22 minutes, let them cool, then sprinkled with powdered sugar..YUM!

Banana Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
As with other reviewers I changed various parts of the recipe (used 1/4 cup butter & 1/4 cup shortening, 1/2 cup white sugar & 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 large bananas, no lemon juice, no nuts) but in the end, it turned out really well - great flavor and texture! Will definitely use again!

Pumpkin Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
This cheesecake was amazing!! I can't eat nuts, so I just made a standard graham cracker crust, then I omitted the lemon extract, added extra pumpkin, and used pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon in place of the other spices and it turned out great! I also made this into individual servings by baking in muffin cups (filled almost to top) for about 24 minutes. Recipe made about 30. I will definitely use this again!!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

This was an excellent banana bread!! It was very moist and had a great flavor. I made it into muffins instead of loaves, cooked them for about 20 minutes, and they turned out great! I will be making this recipe again.

Angel Food Cupcakes

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2007
These were good. I was looking for a low-fat dessert, so I made these and topped them with fat free cool whip and lite cherry pie filling (3 cherries on each cupcake). They look pretty, taste good, and are still low fat.

Scalloped Corn I

Very good recipe. I've previously only used crackers in scalloped corn, but found that I liked the muffin mix even better. Took it to a potluck dinner and it was a hit. I will be making this one again!

Fudgy Brownies I

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2005
This was a good recipe - I prefer fudgy brownies to cake-like brownies and this was somewhere in between. I think it would be better with chocolate chips as it seemed to be lacking something. But overall, good recipe that I will use again.

Big Soft Sugar Cookie Cakes

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2005
I was looking for a soft cake/cookie and this recipe was PERFECT. I love these cookies. I did add a little more sugar and some vanilla flavoring and they turned out great. They aren't super sweet by themselves, but that makes the icing compliment them really well.

Creamy Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2005
I really liked this recipe. The bread was very moist (not dry like some banana breads can be), which was exactly what I was looking for. However, I thought there wasn't enough banana flavor just using the amount called for. Having said that, I WILL be making this again, just adding more bananas - it really was very good.

Pumpkin Spice Cookie

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2005
I love these cookies!! I had left over pumpkin from another recipe and since this only used two ingredients I thought I'd give it a try. They're incredibly moist and have a great cake-like texture and are SOO easy. They do get a little gooey as time goes by, but they still taste GREAT! I will definitely make these again. Thanks for sharing.
