About this Cook
I'm a 25 yr old warrior or terror depends on who you ask. Been in the kitchen since 5 w/mom's help :-). Learning to expand palate and have a willing partner in the adventures of cooking ride!!!
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian seeks to coem natural. Luckily I live in an area where some of the normally "hard to find" are readily available. Been working on getting down a good alfredo. Surprisingly the good ole fashioned hamburger takes top votes also. To friends and family they are a must whenever I can be pinned down on a rare Saturday afternoon.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There's something about Thanksgiving for me. Maybe it's Aunt Rosetta's dressing with my mother's turkey, or my grandmother's from scratch buttered rolls? I just know that on this 1 holiday we all feast on any meat, vegetable, cake, pie etc. . .and then pay for it for about a week in doublin up the exercise rountines.
My cooking triumphs
Being able to create dishes that people enjoy, and request. I've come a long way from burning things up!
My cooking tragedies
After spending nearly 50 bucks and about 2 hours on the "perfect" lasagna, while taking it out of the oven after baking it tipped and fell onto the door. I nearly cried bad enough dinner was lost, but the mess was even worse (cheeses).

The Easiest Blackened Chicken
You can "get by" with this recipe. It really needed some sort of additional flavoring. Careful in the amount of pepper or else the chicken tastes hot w/the worch. mix. Mine didn't blacken very well either. Will try to make again w/a few adjustments like maybe adding soem garlic or some sort of citrus.

Easy Beef Stroganoff
Out of the recipes available on this site, this is one of the best. It was way easy to make and had the whole kitchen smelling like heaven. The beef was seasoned from the inside out and was plenty tender. Will be made time and time again here.

Amish Meatloaf
This was good. A little greasy for my liking but good. My boyfriend rates this among his favorites in meatloaves that I make. Tastes even better the next day.
