Gourmet...my friends like to say I can make a gourmet meal out of anything.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has always cooked! I remember my grandmother and mother making biscuits and fried pies. Lots of canning and pickling went on when I was growing up :) Oh yeah, and the Phillips family has passed down the tradition of always burning the bread :)
My cooking triumphs
My sister and I like to try new recipes along with new wines....some of our favorites were Lamp Chops, Shrimp and Grits and a great blackened shrimp fondue.
My cooking tragedies
I am not the best at making cream sauces..I tend to get distracted and burn them.
