About this Cook
I have been married all my life, LOL.. Starting cooking when I was 16 as I was married at that time and had to learn on my own. So I don't use exact measurements, I just throw and go and then smell. I haven't made very many bad meals. I can generally salvage them if they don't turn out to spec. I am up to cooking anything. I will try just about everything.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Mexican food, soups & stews. Things we love to eat the most of.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Italian food is a big family traditional meal here. We Also have Turkey dinner for Thanksgiving and for Christmas we do the "Mexican Food Blowout". YUMMOOOOhhhh... You might ask what in the world is Mexican Food Blowout? Well it is like going to a buffet of Mexican food that is fresh and hot and ready to eat! We generally have anywhere between 16 to 22 people come for it. No one wants to miss this meal....
My cooking tragedies
I deal with this from time to time due to the humidity where I live can sometimes give me fits with my bread. If the humidity is high sometimes it takes awhile to rise. Crazy I know but sometimes my bread is just Ok.. Most times it is good due to I'm careful when I bake it..

The Best Bean and Ham Soup
I LOVE BEANS, I LOVE HAM in BEANS too. BUT I did not care for this recipe. I made it the way it said. My husband and I are both HUGE soup eaters of all kinds and NOT PICKY eaters either. But I'm telling you we did not care for this recipe. We don't like to waste food either, so we ate it. But man we did not care for this recipe.

Delicious Chicken Casserole
LOVE IT! I added 1 can of drained corn and did add the extra rice as suggested and 1 1/2 teaspoons of salt... I cut up celery and onions and cooked them in some butter too before I added them to the casserole. YUMMOOOOO... I loved this recipe.. It was so good. Bet you could add some broccoli to it for something green in it... Let it stand after you cook it for about 10 minutes before serving.

The Best Chicken Soup Ever
This was super! I did put 2 small diced potatoes in it. WE LOVE POTATOES.. So the potatoes didn't take away from the soup at all. Have made this several times, But we are SOUP lovers....
