About this Cook
I'm a 30-year-old mother of two beautiful boys, ages 21 months and 10 months (as of May, 2006). I just relocated with my family to Georgia (from Michigan) and I LOVE TO COOK!
My favorite things to cook
Anything fattening and full of flavor! OK, so I don't go out of my way to make fattening foods on purpose...it just seems that the truly delicious recipes are a little bad for you. :-/ I try to cook as healthy as possible, when I can though.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Apple pie that my great grandmother taught me how to make.

Quick and Easy Chicken
This was great! (And truly quick and easy). I was worried about the amount of sugar in it, but it wasn't too sweet at all. I made two changes: I diced my chicken breasts into large chunks before cooking, and I added only 1/2 the amount of black pepper it called for. We'll definitely make this again and again!

Yummy Sweet Potato Casserole
I made this recipe exactly as written, and it was great! Even my husband (who doesn't like sweet potatoes) said it was excellent. The only change I made was to make it in a 9X9 pan. With the amount of sweet potatoes in the recipe, it seemed to me like it would have been spread too thin if I'd put it in a 13X9 pan. I baked it for an extra 15 minutes, just to make sure the center was done. Thank you for a great recipe that I'll be making every Thanksgiving (and probably throughout the year, lol) from now on!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople
This pie is insanely good! I'm not one for changing recipes that are already perfect, but I did add 1/2 tsp. cinnamon just because apple pie without cinnamon seems sort of wrong. lol Thanks for a great recipe!
