About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Remembering my Italian Grandmother making homemade pasta along with a roast for the weekly 12 o'clock Sunday dinner, then drinking my Grandfather's homemade Italian red wine with 7-up with the meal.
My cooking tragedies
1st roasted chicken---with the plastic bag left inside the cavity!

Chicken Breasts with Lime Sauce
This chicken was a huge hit. Since we try to watch cholesterol, I only used olive oil and no butter. I also used boneless, skinless thighs since I had them on hand. I browned them in a skillet, then put them in the oven for about 15 minutes. We'll be having this chicken again!

Appetizer Meatballs
I made this for a party and it was a big hit. I added 2 Tbsp. of bar-b-que sauce for some extra zip. I'll definitely be making it again.

Hamburgers and Ketchup Gravy
I make this same type recipe using sirloin steak, S & P, ketchup & loads of onions. I just brown the cutlet size steak pieces in margarine or butter, add the onions, ketchup & some water and simmer it in the pan. Then I bake it in the oven for about 20 minutes & it's delicious! Ketchup gravy makes the difference.
