About this Cook
I'm a stay-at-home mom with two very special boys. I love cooking...the tastes, the smells, and really enjoy sharing the fruits of my labor. I started cooking four years ago and love it! I found this website and was hooked early on! It's great to read others recipes and how others have made additions, subtractions, etc. It has definitely contributed to my own developing culinary skills. Thanks for all your help. My family thanks you too!
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cookies. They're quick and easy. I also love casseroles even though that sounds so boring and not very complicated. Casseroles are just great for those busy days where I'm not sure about a time and preparing a big meal. I can prepare casseroles earlier in the day and then just pop them in the oven. That way I can enjoy play time with my kiddos and provide them with a healthy dinner!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmothers homemade chicken noodle soup and peanut butter balls are two BIG traditions.
My cooking triumphs
The fact that I am learning how to cook after so many years of thinking it was part of the "great unknown". Now, I love trying new recipes, sharing them, and even making a few of my own!
My cooking tragedies
My first apple pie. I have pictures....not pretty. Tasted just liked it looked. Ugh!

Shepherd's Pie Daddy's Way
Great base recipe but I tend to add to it. Particularly veggies, sometimes bacon, cheese, chives...just use your imagination. Overall, a quick family meal that is pretty good.
