Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2009
These are wonderful! I didn't have access to an electric mixer, so I had to mix them by hand. This made them more dense, but still good. As mentioned by almost every other reviewer - these are super sticky. I would definitely suggest refrigerating awhile before rolling out the dough.

Dog Treats I

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
my pooch loves these. I replaced the cornmeal with wheat bran, because I didn't have any. I also replaced the margarine with canola oil. The only reason I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 is because they lack nutrients. If I make them again, I will probably add grated veggies or meat.

Creamy Butternut Squash With Cinnamon Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2008
I altered this recipe quite a bit (added an apple, a pear, and a few carrots, increased the sugar, omitted the cayenne), and it turned out fantastic! Definitely a recipe I will use again and again.

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This is wonderful! My only complaint is that the quinoa to veggie ratio seems off. I had tons of veggies, and not enough quinoa.

Fresh Asparagus Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2008
Very good. I actually preferred the soup without the parmesan, because I thought that it overpowered the taste of the asparagus.

Healing Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2007
I just made this soup for the new year (cabbage brings good luck!), and it is so GOOD! So warm and tasty. I added carrots and a little more spice, and it turned out just right! Thank you for the recipe!

Coconut Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2007
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this recipe. To match my own personal tastes, I used cabbage instead of bok choy, omitted the brown sugar, and used garlic in place of ginger. The tofu turned out a little too soft, despite the fact that I sauteed the tofu in advance. Next time I will probably cook the tofu separately, because I like my tofu really crispy.

Make Ahead Lunch Wraps

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
I thought that these were good, but I got sick of them before my boyfriend and I were able to eat them all. The recipe is a little large for just two people - next time i'll cut the recipe in half.

Spiced Sweet Roasted Red Pepper Hummus

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2006
Mmmmmm! This recipe is excellent. I roasted my own peppers (To do this, place pepper directly on the burner over a medium flame until skin is blackened on all sides, toss in ice water, remove skin, and voila! roasted red pepper) Soooo good! and much cheaper than store bought.

Oven Baked Potato Wedges

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2006
I had some trouble with these... half way through, when I was turning the wedges, I noticed that they were already pretty dry. I melted more butter and poured it over the wedges before putting them back in the oven. This saved them, but it also added a lot more fat and grease than I would have liked.

Graham Cracker Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
This recipe was fairly bland on its own, but it does well with the addition of nuts, chocolate chips, etc... I tried a few variations, and my favorite was when I melted butterscotch chips and added them to the batter. They turned out wonderful!
