Not a fan. I thought they were too dense, and pretty much just tasted like paste. I followed the recipe to a T. Thanks anyway :)

I tried adding additional zest as other reviewers suggested but still got only a subtle hint of orange flavor. These are moist muffins with a nice flavor - just not that orangy. I was also surprised at how thick the batter was. As an alternative to the topping, I used sparkling sugar - gave it just enough sweet and crunch without the nuts or spice.

The flavor of this is wonderful, but it the way it is written, there is too much "crisp" for the amount of apples. Next time I will either double the apples or half the "crisp".
