I have made this roast twice, the first time I followed the directions exactly and it turned out good but very bland. This time I added the montreal steak seasoning when browning, used the beef stock instead of water, and a couple cloves of garlic. WAY better, so much flavor. Great basic recipe that I have had fun perfecting!

Yummy! I added a extra can of cream of mushroom soup. One and half cans of diced green chilis. One package of chicken fajita seasoning. LOTS of Cheddar cheese on top and inside. Actually cooked it for almost 2 hours stirring every 10-15 min. My husband cant get enough. VERY DELICIOUS and EASY, taste even better as a leftover.
