Me and my angel Joelle
About this Cook
I LOVE Baking, and cooking, though I don't have as much time as I used to. I am a school teacher and my husband is a full time student in law school. We have two active kdis, a 4 1/2 year old and a 3 year old.
My favorite things to cook
Bread, Pizza, Pies, Cakes, Brownies, Roast, Fish...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking with my mom and sister around the holidays! Trying new things.
My cooking triumphs
I make a mean Pizza with homemade bread. I also make peperoni rolls, but I'm perfecting that recipe.
My cooking tragedies
I was making cupcakes with my kids, using the Kitchen Aid Mixer. Tragically - Joelle's long hair got caught in the mixer and ripped out a 1 inch and 1/2 inch CHUNK of her hair. We were very lucky because it could have been worse. The whole machine fell over and it actually ripped her hair OUT to the scalp. It was very sad, but now we bake with our hair in pony tails!

Bacon, Potato, and Egg Taco Ole
Yummy!!! I added shredded cheese before serving and didn't have an onion, still delicious!

Overnight French Toast II
My husband would give it 6 stars! I followed the recipe (thought I did add cinnamon to the egg mixture), but I had a whole loaf of french bread, so I had two layers of bread (about 1 or 2 inch slices). This was awesome because it had a crunchier layer. I turned the pan over on a baking sheet to let the syrup run over all of the layers and the crunchy was on the bottom, which made it easier to serve, and very beautiful and delicious!

Tia and David's Deep Fried Tortellini
This was GREAT! Just what I was looking for. I didn't have any eggs, so I just tossed a little olive oil on them before breading them and it worked well. I will definitely make again. It hit the spot!
