Peach Cobbler II

Delicious and SO easy to make. We loved it. I made it just as it said and don't think I would change a thing. I used fresh peaches and pears. YUMMO to the TUMMO!

Brown Sugar Shortbread

I have made and enjoyed these exactly as the recipe is written but I have also added butterscotch chips and pecans and they are delicious that way too. I'm making a batch to take to a sick friend today and I'm just certain they will make him feel better--instantly!

Made this to take to a BBQ where they were serving rib. This was the PERFECT accompaniment. Everyone raved about it. No leftovers. I have made this a couple of times since and is just doggone good.

Mom's Sweet Potato Bake

We thought this was perfect. Just the right taste. I put it in an oblong glass cake pan instead of the casserole dish and baked it just a bit less. Very good.

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 25, 2009
Excellent! I actually made these as a bar cookie instead of drop and they were delicious! I pushed the dough out into a jelly roll pan and baked for 28 minutes. I also added some almonds just cuz we like them. I cut them when I took them out of the oven.

German Chocolate Cake Frosting II

Excellent frosting recipe. Very easy and tastes delicious! The biggest problem is that I wanted to eat this with a spoon and not put it on the cake. Naughty, Naughty!

Very dry muffin. Couldn't really taste the maple (and I used the REAL thing). I won't be making these again.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2009
You don't need to hesitate just because this says "slow cooker" stuffing. It is truly one of the best stuffing recipes we have ever used. Plus it frees up the oven. Everyone loved it. It was gone before the potatoes and gravy -- and that says something because our family LOVES potatoes and gravy.

The Supreme Shepherd's Pie

Excellent recipe for Shepherd's Pie. I used leftover pot roast, mashed potatoes and gravy and the family slicked it right up.

Stovetop Granola

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2008
I can't keep my husband out of the granola! Holy cow! This was so easy and is absolutely delicious. I think next time I would cut back a bit on the butter but for eating it by the handful? Delicious!!!!! I added dried cranberries, sliced almonds, coconut and sunflower seeds. Will definitely make again -- well, I'll have to and hubby will have eaten it nearly all by himself. Oh, and I doubled it. Worked out well.

Meatball Stew

Very good stew. It didn't have quite the flavor I wanted so instead of using flour to thicken, I used a package of beef gravy mix. It was just what it needed.

I have not made this salad about 10 times and each time we have to comment on how it's our very favorite crab salad. The flavors are all so awesome together. Thanks for this great recipe.

These are the "go with everything" muffin. I usually bake them exactly as the recipe indicates but have been known to add lemon or orange zest too. They are excellent!

German Pancakes II

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
I have made this recipe for years but I use 8 eggs and I use 3/4 of a cube of unsalted butter. Another way to make it is to snip 1/2 lb. of bacon into the bottom of your baking dish, put it in the 350 degree oven and cook it to your desired state of doneness. Then pour over the egg mixture and bake. Very good as well.

Peanut Butter Cocoa No-Bake Cookies

Excellent recipe. I had lost my recipe and when I came looking for another, I decided to try this one. Really good. If you think it looks a little thin you can always add a touch of powdered sugar to thicken it. ALWAYS use butter.

Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2008
This was excellent. I doubled the recipe because it was for a party added 2 tsp. paprika and 1 tsp. lemon juice. I ended up having to add a little honey to cut the bitter from the lemon. I don't think I'd add lemon juice at all next time.
