Potato Latkes II

Wish I could give it 10 stars...they reminded me of the kind my Bobie use to make from scratch when I was a kid. I live in an area where I can't buy the "box" mix for potato latkes (which is what I usually do if my kids come to visit and bring them to me) and have been looking for a good recipe. This is it. I did change one thing though. I used Idaho potatoes and didn't shred any Yukon’s. Just used all the Idaho’s and mashed them up after I boiled them...so, so, good!!!

Butterscotch Squares

This is a good recipe and one that I will make again. The only changes I made was that I used Ric Chex and melted the butter and marshmellow together as if I was making a rice krispie treat. Added the remaining ingredient and also added a cup of coctail peanuts. Yummy for sure!

Apple Pie II

I wish that I could give it 10 stars...this is the apple pie recipe that I have been looking for. I am a professional cook/baker and have tried hundreds of different apple pie recipes. In the past they have always been to runny, or the apples were too hard, or the bottom crust not cooked well enough, but not with this one. This is the one that reminded me of the great pie I ate as a kid. It will be the only apple pie that I will ever make again. I did raise the amount of cornstarch to 4 Tablespoons and also added in fresh nutmeg and cinnamon. This is a keeper....YUMMO!

Berry Sour Cream Cake

Added in some lemon extract to the batter and the icing...excellent flavor! This is such a moist and delicate cake. A huge keeper in our house! I made it the night before and it was so good the next morning for our guests and their coffee...wish I could give it 10 stars!

Very good. I didn't care for the red color, I would prefer the regular white ranch color. The flavor was great though. I would make it again and just leave out the paprika

Yellow Squash Casserole

Ultimate Corn Bread

This is a very, very, good corn bread recipe. I changed the cooking method to a cast iron skillet and it turned out perfect! I increased the cooking time by 10 minutes because of the thickness of the pan. This is a keeper! I submitted a photo, hopefully they will post it....thanks for a keeper!
