Fierro Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
This was a big hit at our house. Very tasty and very easy to do. Will definitely be making this one again and again. Update: When I don't have heavy cream available, 1/2 and 1/2 or whole milk works as well - always excellent, easy and my husband loves it. Thanks for a great recipe.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2009
I have never been a fan of meatloaf, but my husband likes it so I have tried it numerous times over the years. This is the first one I've tried that I really liked. It was very easy too. I didn't have "Cheese Ritz crackers" as recommended by Connie Rempel in the first review, so I used a mixture of traditional Ritz crackers and Cheez Its. Worked very well. The meatloaf held together well, and was moist and flavorful. Will definitely make this one again. Thanks for the post.

Tomato and Mozzarella Bites

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2009
I couldn't believe how good these tasted. It was so easy, and made a nice, simple, elegant appetizer. I added italian seasoning to the oil and vinegar and drizzled it over the appetizers. I also bought a large ball of fresh mozzarella and cut it into chunks rather than using the small mozz balls. It made a very nice presentation as well. Will definitely be doing this one often. Thanks for the post!

World's Best Pasta Sauce!

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2009
This truly is the world's best pasta sauce. When I made the lasagna (which my family loved and is now our go to lasagna recipe) one of the comments that I made in my review was that I couldn't wait to try the sauce in some other pasta dishes. I have since used it several times, and every time it is outstanding, and brings out the best of whatever it is complimenting. Excellent! Thanks again.

Pasta Pomodoro

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2009
Excellent - we really liked it. I omitted the crushed red pepper because we didnt have it on hand, and used dried basil instead of fresh. Delicious and easy - a nice change of pace from traditional pasta dishes. Thanks for the recipe, will definitely make again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2009
Wow! Lasagna was the first thing I learned to cook as a newlywed, and for 25 years, my family has always really liked it, so I thought I did it well. The name and reviews on this one intrigued me so I thought I'd give it a try. My husband absolutely loved it, and said that it's the best I've ever made. It's worth the effort, and will now be my go to recipe for lasagna. I followed the recipe exactly (including a special trip to the store for fennel seed) except I used Barilla No-boil lasagna noodles. This dish was exceptional, and I'm looking forward to using the sauce with other pasta dishes. Thanks so much for the post!

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Exceptional, and so easy! My husband took one bite and said this one's a keeper. I added a jar of sliced mushrooms (drained) and omitted the green pepper due to personal preference. I also followed other's suggestion and stirred in a cup of shredded mozzarella into the mixture, then topped with more mozzarella at the end. Really delicious! Will definitely be making this one regularly. Thanks so much for the recipe!

Beef Enchiladas II

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2009
Easy, inexpensive and delicious. A perfect combination these days!. Like others, I added taco seasoning and garlic to the beef and onion mixture and I used a can of ready made enchilada sauce rather than making one up from a powder. My husband has asked that I make them again very soon. Thanks for the recipe!

Clam Chowder II

This was a huge hit at a recent dinner party! It was so easy to make. I did it in my crockpot. Everyone said it was the best clam chowder they had ever tasted. I didn't have the heart to tell them it was all canned soup. Let them think I went to a lot of trouble! Thanks for the post.

This is a delicious, quick and easy meal. I love that I can throw it together quickly with ingredients I have on hand. I have found that I need to increase the cooking time to about 50 minutes for it to fully set. My whole family loves this, and asks for it regularly. Thanks for a great recipe!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2008
Outstanding! I used a 4lb Boston Butt - I didn't have rootbeer so I used what I had on hand - 20 oz Dr Pepper, 12 oz Coke and 8 oz of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. (Wanted enough liquid to cover meat.) Cooked on low for 10 hours in the crockpot. Pork fell off the bone - it was truly delicious and didn't require anything else. My husband has requested that I make it regularly. We loved it!

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2008
Made this for a dinner party yesterday. I followed the recipe exactly, and it came out perfectly. Be sure to let the cake cool for the full 1 1/2 hours to allow it to release cleanly. Topped it with the Satiny Chocolate Glaze from this site, and filled the center with fresh raspberries. Beautiful and delicious! Everyone loved it. I'll be making this one again and again. Thanks so much for a great recipe!
