I'm a bachelor living in Shockoe Bottom who is trying to expand his cooking repertoire. I can't say I'm a great cook, but I'm getting better all the time.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite dishes are mostly Asian-inspired, but I also enjoy Italian and Southern cuisines quite a bit.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I was able to make my dad's recipe for Chicken Parmigiana, which is a process that takes most of the day.
My cooking tragedies
Luckily nothing overly egregious but I've experimented with a couple dishes that weren't worth finishing, let alone keeping leftovers.

Kung Pao Chicken
I've never made a Kung Pao dish at home before but this was both easy and good. Be careful if you don't like it spicy!

Tantalizingly Tangy Meatloaf
I enjoyed this recipe, as it was an interesting change of pace from standard meatloaf. It was just a little too sweet for my taste, so next time I will probably use less crushed pineapple and a little more garlic powder.

Slow Cooker Chicken Cordon Bleu
I was pretty disappointed with this recipe. Cooking it on low for 6 hours was way too long and the chicken was extremely dry. There was also way too much stuffing for my taste...
