Natural-minded, simple living, mama of two young boys. You can usually find me nursing my babe, chasing my boy with baby in the sling, cooking(and attempting to feed the picky boy), knitting, sewing, or pulling weeds from our summer vegetable beds.
For the most part, I'm just trying to find peace and happiness in the simple routines of daily life. I'll let you know how it turns out.
My favorite things to cook
Anything by Molly Katzen! I'm a big, big fan of the Moosewood Cookbooks. I like cooking simple, healthy meals from things I already have. I cook a lot of what I like to call, Creation Soup. Whatever we have on hand, goes into the pot.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's homemade spagetti sauce. Carrot cakes on birthdays. I'll tell you when they become traditions.
My cooking triumphs
I can stir-fry your brains out, make a soup out of nothing, and throw together some enchiladas like it's my job.
My cooking tragedies
Once I bought a bundt pan from a thrift store and didn't realize it was a jello mold until my beet chocolate cake was smoking my whole kitchen up from spilling over the sides and onto the oven floor. F cakes. They never turn out right for me.
