I am a lover not a fighter. I love food, travel and gatherings around food. I cook to eat and please myself. It is a bonus if others join in and enjoy it too. I am haunted by the neverending search for the cheapest and most fulfilling meal. I think i found it in a bowel of ramen noodles in Shibuya, Tokyo... or was it a pepperoni pizza slice on Lexington Ave in Manhattan... or was it the papaya salad from the street food vendor on Khao San Rd in Bangkok... or was it the bangers and mash i made in the kitchen the other day. The best memories i have of my family are attached to food. It conjours up so many dear memories and it is the memories that are made with family and friends that are worth more than rarest of diamonds. Chicken peanut soup, Apple Crumble, White Chocolate Cookies, Melting Moment Cookies, Bangers and Mash, Chocolate Cupcakes with Buttercream Icing, Russian Tea Cakes, BLT Risotto and my very own Spaghetti Sausage. Every Chinese New Year mom would gather all my sisters and i together and we would all help make a feast. Making 300 white chocolate cookies for work and my workmates were fighting over them!!!
